March Meeting – Captain Ian Devlin

Captain Devlin will join us next Wednesday, March 14th at 7:00 pm at the Madison Town Hall.

Our speaker for the March meeting will be Captain Ian Devlin. He is a highly accomplished light tackle guide based in Norwalk, CT. Ian has a deep understanding of CT shoreline and its rivers and knows how to successfully fish these areas. As a guide, he puts clients on fish, but he also is a teacher, helping clients understand the process a little better.
He is an expert fly caster and holds a world record bluefish on a 20 lb tippet–16 lbs and 13 oz caught locally on July 29, 1999. He runs charters year-round and targets all species found in the sound including striped bass, bluefish, false albacore and many others.
Ian will tell us a little about what got him hooked and how his passion became his livelihood. We may hear a funny story or two, also. This talk will be very interactive. Think of Ian as an instructor, encouraging questions and discussion about fishing our local waters. This will be an engaging and informative talk for all of us who fish the CT shoreline.

Captain Devlin will join us on March 14th at 7:00 pm at the Madison Town Hall.
