PALOMAR KNOT

Easy to tie correctly, this knot is consistantly the strongest knot known to hold terminal tackle. Double about 4" of line and pass the loop through the eye.

Let the hook, swivel or lure hang loose and tie an overhand knot in the doubled line. Be sure to avoid twisting the lines and don't tighten the knot down.

Pull the loop of line far enough to pass it over the hook, swivel or lure. Make sure the loop passes completely over the item being secured.

Pull both the tag end and the main line to tighten. Leave about 1/8" of the tag end as shown.
